Paul Lee of The Winchester bought a much-neglected 1920’s service station and has converted it in to Donkey Taqueria, on Grand Rapids’s trendy Wealthy Street. This little gem is often busy (it’s still new and novel), but it is absolutely worth the wait for a table.
When we went we tried the goat taco, which was fantastic, as well as a queso taco that was also magic. Washed down with a few pints of Shiner Bock on tap, it was right on. This is definitely a new Beer O’Clock GR favorite.
Oh, and like his other venture, The Winchester, this one is going to have an amazing patio. Lee took the entire front parking lot and turned it into a beautiful outdoor space for the taqueria. When summer hits, definitely make a stop here.
